R1 + R2 prob high as you have a break in the cpc ! dont matter about rcd test it still works down either cpc leg find break and your get better R1 + R2 reading.

If I can't find break can I still put on test result as I have just done Part P course and NICEIC are coming out to see the replacement of fuse board as my major job

cheers

Hi Peter
No he wont be happy with that as jason said best to split ring in middle and do IR test down both legs untill you find offending fault.
Regards
Kung.

peter you have a simple problem it will not take much to correct how will it look
if they come to assess you and ask you to do a ring continuity test for them

Or still split the ring into 2 20A radials, but that would mean that a number of sockets have no earth.

But at least this way you can R1/R2 back towards the cu.

Much easier to fault find on a radial.

As Kung said, the NIC man will not be best pleased if you leave as is.

Good luck and anymore questions, just ask.

agree with kung......... 1st have a look behind each socket if no joy.
take socket off half way round ring, split cpcs then do continuity on each half back to cu, one side should be ok and one open, keep splitting the bad half till you find the bad leg.
