The wife asked me to help her sister out and install a new supply to her garden shed, but, after seeing the results of the work carried out by the sister-in-laws new boyfriend, I declined to help. Would you?

The sister-in-law said that she didn't think there was anything wrong with it :nonod:

Frank why if your company was a niceic registered company and your part p refuse to get involved in the origanal problem, surely it would of been within your capabilty? Also if you was unhappy with the install why let someone else rewire it, it was family after all!

Because the SIL's boyfriend refuses to leave things alone.
The SIL is rather poor - financially - and this was why I was asked to assist. After covering up the bare busbars, I walked away. The mans an idiot...as the pictures show. And she doesn't think anything is wrong.
Maybe love is blind.
I certainly wasn't going to stump for the materials and free labour, just to leave him there to alter at will.
A customer - then yes, and get paid...but I don't do house rewires, that's for electricians, I only get involved with electrical installations in conjunction with my trade, i.e. domestic heat pump etc. and more so on the commercial side.
I need a knowledge of your trade to do my trade safely. On a survey for a new customer, I need to know if the supply can handle what I'm hoping to sell and install.

Yeah but you can't have thought his install was that much of a problem or your wife would have made you get someone in to sort it I don't get it ?

Like you said your not an Electrician you don't to house bashing it's a mess ?
