Get one from the local taxidermist - no need to feed it or take it for walks in the pi$$ing rain. It won't jump all over the furniture, stink the place out or bite anyone either. Saves a fortune in vets' bills too.

Wonder if they sell stuffed Geordies too? I don't mind you jumping over the furniture, but stinking the place out is a bit of a nuisance. :iamwithstupid:

Boxers are great dogs but I prefer rotties. Boxers just don't have an off switch always on, rotties have a lot of the same characteristics but are generally more subdued (lazy) in the house.

Would love a boxer but I don't have the energy for one. :)

Got one of each. Both are fantastic and we've moulded them to suit our lifestyle (I work shifts...!)

Bengo - 8 - rescue

Both absolutely gorgeous, love the car and walks and superb with each other. She's nosey!

[ElectriciansForums.net] dogs my 5 year old westie, he goes wherever I go he is the reason I don't want kids

Anybody here can tell me about the dog's breed because I want to buy a dog because I think I should have for the home security . so please suggest me which breed is best for the security and must tell me about the feeding too.

I should have thought that the obvious choice for you would be an American Pitbull.

As for feeding it, one small to medium sized child per day and a postman (that's a mailman to you) once a week should keep it happy.

@ Sliva fox,

Those 2 look gorgeous.

one look at Beth has just made my wife go from "we are NOT having another rottie "
to" AAAW she's so cute maybe we could get another rottie with long hair/ Pleeaaaase."

:)

We foster Boxers and have over 14 yrs experience of 15 of them. We have had a Dane bitch, that we lost last year aged 8!

Over the last 2 years we lost 3 dogs - absolutely gutting.

We saw a rottie in a local Rescue. I was a little apprehensive as we have an 11 yr old kid, but we gave the rottie a chance and she has proved fantastic. Its how you treat em, all dogs that is, love them and they love you and behave.
I'd rather dogs than kids. I'd rather rescue/foster than promote puppying or backyard breeders!!!

I don't know how you can foster dogs TBH.
I'd never let them go again.

I have to admit mine was a bit of a handfull at times until she settled in, but like you say it's how you treat em :)

Our little rottie is a dog we adopted after our golden retriever died at 16.
We were really gutted so I know how you feel.
Dogs ...... my favourite kind of human :)

hopefully she's a bit fatter now :)
With that collar biting less, or is it just the photo?
good on you for taking on a rescue dog :)

Collar long gone! She has put on 10kg since we got her. She was a 17kg bag of bones. A complete cow, the reason female dogs are called 'Bitches' but we love her! When it's daylight I will try and put up a current pic if you want. They are such good pets, can't recommend them enough. Even after the sh1te start she had in life, she loves people. Such a mistreated breed, makes me sick to the stomach what she's gone through. 5 minutes in a locked room with her previous owners, that's all I ask.:13:
