Discuss dogs in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

Its all about the owner not the dog, doesn't matter what dog you have. Would trust my dog all day long with kids but only because she been brought up well.

i have always had rescue dogs and never had a problem, obviously with children it needs to be fully assessed for any agression or behaviour problems.

I have a JRT+ at the moment, very heavily abused as a pup as he was bred for badger baiting. he is now the dearest loving little dog you will ever meet.

visit the centres, dont go on appearance, ask the staff and make sure you have aproper assessment. xxxx

Black one is Max. He is an 18 month old lab. Had him from 6 weeks.
Brown one is Holly. She is a lab X Vizsla and is about 10 months old. got her when she was roughly 6 months old, and she wasn't very well looked after. lived in a box for the first 6 months of her life, was fed oxo cubes, didn't even have a name! Due to her not having the best start in life, she is a Lot smaller than what she should be, and will not grow anymore :(

little misia ( on my avatar) was the smallestof 3 and could not feed off the mother properly. the others pushed her away. we hand reared her from 2 weeks old. she has cost a fortune at the vet's, fully grown she's only 2lb 6 oz. but at least she's having a good life.

Holly has very dry irritable skin, and has had a small fortune spent on her at the vets already. she had a blood sample taken on Thursday and is going in next week to get a biopsy taken (needs general anaesthetic)
also, max went off his food last year all of a sudden and got taken to vets, where they swiftly opened him up and had everything out of him to see what went wrong. thank ---- for pet insurance!

the skin problem could be an allergy. some dogs are intolerant of dairy produce.

Is it only me who's a cat lover then?

No I am as well always had cats since I was 10 unfortunately had a phone all off my mum telling me that the cat I had since I was 11 had to be put down after being found passed out in next doors yard she was 18 it was like losing a sister
