As suggested, I use clicks

You must take an earth to the light and just over sleave it or into a terminal block, this is so in the future if class 1 used the earth is there.

Supplier is assuming loop in at d/l which is why they say 1.0mm2, therefor 0.75 flex is fine, you are only running 1 d/l per flex.

So to sumarise,

10a MCB
earth to every D/L, terminate in conector
1.5mm2 t+E to a click connector for every D/L
0.75 3core flex from click conector to each D/L

A 10A mcb seems a little excessive for this lighting circut. KLIX are a good thought, but you still have the problem of where the cpc is terminated in the fitting - or ecen if it is on a connector block, is there space inside the enclosure of the fitting ?

You would get away with a two core from JB to light fitting - as long as it isn't to long, but more importantly, the JB pops out the ceiling as easily as the light fitting so you can access all connections.

Realise this is off the original question but could some one answer if ur testing a light circuit and they happen to be all GU10 type lights wat sort of test r u meant to do as the actual fitting wont hav an earth unless fitting has metal holder????is it just meant to have a n IR test?

Take the readings at the termination where the earth is.

Take the 1 or 2 ends of this (depending if its loop in loop out)

,
then connect them into some of these

which I ususally house in one of these

,
then from your Wago connectors take a short length of this

and terminate it to the downlighter, sometimes, dependant of the downlighter, I may use some of these

If the shared neutral is lost ,won`t you be getting 400v across both cottages? 2 phase US style but double the Voltage.
