greetings

Just thought I'd get opinions on workwear.

I already have steel cap boots, eye protection, hi-viz etc, but what would be the ideal shirt and trousers for a sparky to wear?

:)

Snickers trousers for me. And snickers t shirts. I've tried scruffs trousers they were okay. And helly Hansen trousers were also okay. But I always go back to snickers. If you are thinking about starting on site I would buy yourself a hard hat with the ear defenders and eye protection attached. I find it very uncomfortable to wear separate ones but each to there own. Worth looking at

The Snickers stuff is expensive but lasts I had a winter jacket it lasted at least 12 years+ you will get various recommendations from forum members but it will come down to you getting something that you are comfortable working in.

Just got my 2 pack t shirts in black from my local ALDI - light and good wearing. I like the lighter trousers made by Dickies And because they are lighter they are cheaper at about ÂŁ16. Last a while. I've got 4 pairs trousers and numerous TShirts, 4 fleeces and a good coat. That's all I need.
Trousers have to have knee pad pockets - can't do without them.

I used to use the Site brand from Screwfix. It was only one particular pair I bought, and the zip would always fail after six months or so and then I would take them back and replace them under guarantee. They don't do them anymore though.

My only prerequisite for work trousers is having the one inch webbing on one of the flappy pockets to allow a few drivers/snips to be stored easily. The other type of flappy pockets don't fit the drivers in properly and they just fall out.

I am picking up a pair of dewalt pro tradesman tomorrow. They seem reasonable for the cost. I think the price of some brands gets pretty damn extortionate.
