re: Exam question help

I think we are getting our wires crossed ;-). I think you are talking about physical distance from the fuseboard and not the furthest part of the circuit? The question asks where it should be measured at, i.e. which reading do you write down The answer is, and I agree with you, the highest reading but this will be the furthest part of the circuit.

2394 question

Maybe we are lol

But the question asks where should the Zs be measures at, and I would always say its every point on the circuit. Not got any reference to books at the minute as away working so can't actually back it up.

2394 question

There is no doubting that, that is why I told the OP to read the questions a couple of times before answering.

A extra few seconds can be the difference between a pass and fail sometimes.

re: Exam question help

So we going with??

The non stat document that is applicable to the construction and use of test equipment is?
a- bs7671
b- gn3
c - gs 38
d - osg
When a number of additional circuits are connected to a distribtion board the overall resistance will?
a- Decrease
b- remain unchanged
c- be a average of circuit value
d- increase

Which one of the following devices is suitable for PFC in excess of 60kA?
a-bs 88-2
b-bs 3036
c- bs 1362
d- bs en 60898

Where no supply is availble, a test of earth electrode resistance for a installation forming part of a TT system can be carried out using?
a-Earh fault loop impedance teste
b-a continuity tester
c- An earth electrode teste
d- a low resistance ohm metre

The earth fault loop impedance of a radial circuit must be measured at?
a-the origin of the circuit
b-any convenient part of the circuit
c-the furthest part of the circuit
d-every switch on the circuit

what you all think please? score /5?

re: Exam question help

honestly mate my heads in bits the gola in split into i think6 sections and u need 56%+ in each
i got 100% - 100% - 89%-90% 55% and 88% and bloody failed cuz the 55%

another question i got was
A test that is automatiacally conducted when carrying out a test on a ring final circuit continuity is
a- insulation resistance
b- polarity
c- RCD operating times
d- loop impedance

highlighted my answer, that right?

re: Exam question help

Q1-GS 38
Q2-Decrease
Q3-BS 88-2
Q4- An earth electrode tester
Q5- The furthest part of a circuit (its mentioning the radial circuit, and it does not say lighting circuit is there, so where is them switches come from in answer D).

Here is the copy of paragraph in Practical guide to inspection and testing.

Measurethe resistance of earth fault loop impedance at the furthest point of
thecircuit using the correct instrument ( rememberthe furthest point is the end of the
circuit, not necessarily the furthest distance from thedistribution board ). Record the
valueobtained onto the test result schedule.
