Hi

Took this picture of some new wiring in my nieces house ( 1930s build ) done by a qualified electrcian , allegedly ! .
It is located on the underside of the 1st floor floorboards .

No , the notches were put in at the time of this install , they lifted the boards in the lounge above .
Then they should have either fitted plates or drilled them so as the cables could not be damaged by screws or nails.

Why didn't they use the exiting holes?
