What I'm thinking is if you rodded it you can bond it, if its bonded and the wiring shorts to the kennel mcb blows and doesn't become live

Trying to stir this thread up a little
The steel kennel appears to meet the definition of an exposed conductive part
(A conductive part of equipment which can be touched and which is not a live part, but which may become live under fault conditions)
Does it need earthing ?
