Where in the building has this ziton been install..?
 
What is the guidance on this tazz, if they been same since installed 12 yrs ago, do you have to change to optical in stairwells and bedrooms for a compliant certificate

The standards are not retrospective but when upgrading, it should be to the current standard HOWEVER you should also check the original design/risk assessment as although in a normal building you would fit opticals in circulation areas, there may have been some sort of design reason for ionisation.
 
Anyone had any experience with Fike Quadnet with sita devices.... looped addressable systems... I know the conventional twinflex were hit and miss and been called to many a faulty detector on said systems?

I'm taking over a job other company been booted, they have the gear on site ready fo me to install....
 
Its the same with Quantant and Sita 200 detectors...tho the new ATX detectors are a little better.
Problem here is you have to pay for a course to get the software. Real weird panel to work on, have 20 Sita 200 plus panels I look after, and they are very unreliable.
 
Wish they were Harni....each detector has a serial number, which is auto learnt into the system. So if you change one, you have to stop the loop, reconfig, then start the loop again, for new serial number to be stored
