Flippin!!! joiners!

Had a joiner in doing some work and he managed to screw into the existing main earth which is a 25mm cable in a tt system. I tested it and I'm getting a Ze of 0.26 and PEFC of 9A. Should I replace the cable?

Why test it if you already know it's damaged?
Just get on and fix it

.....or the Ze is wrong and it should be 26 ohms. I'd be impressed with 0.26 for a TT.

Well the only way I know it's damaged is that I'm getting continuity between a screw and the main earth. To what extent it's damaged I don't know.

The amount of damage is pretty irrelevant. Damaged is damaged and needs fixing

I agree with you that it should be replaced and I will. I was going to go a step further and put new rods in.

If you didn't know about it then you wouldn't even be thinking about what would happen if you didn't know about it. But you'll need a philosophy forum for that!

Replaced maybe, or repaired, depends on the exact situation and what will be least disruptive.

Fix it, it was the joiners f--k up so he will have to pay you, simple
