Hi All,

i now have a lad that i have trained up for fitting the double pole isolators so that you can safely isolate wen doing anything on the consumer unit. he will safely remove the bullet, fit the isolator and re-seal the service head.

We are located in Swillington, leeds so i am sure we could come up with a rate if any of you were wanting them fitting
we cover, leeds Barnsley and Rotherham daily.

Are you network acredited, and do you have this permission from all the various DNO's in the area?

yes my lad has his training with YEDL and NEDL and is also accredited by Scottish and southern energy PLC as that is whom we work for
we wouldn't receive out meter sealing guns with out permission. we also have the in-house training from the meter fitters
This is all above board as i would not advertise on hear i am just offering a service for electricians to work safe.

i have an electrician thats sole job is to fit isolators all day for local councils ect

Just out of interest, how many sparks have any any comeback from DNOs or suppliers because they've pulled the main fuse to install new tails etc, not many i bet.

Btw... Do the DNO guys really come out with those welding suits on? Over the top in my opinion. As trained sparks pulling a main fuse should be park of our criteria!

yes in the training we had to have full length gloves on, fire proof suit and full face mask

Where I work, we had a main fuse blow; and sure enough they came out wearing Nomex fire suits, thick rubber gloves, anti-flash visors, the works... Just to put a new bloody fuse in.
