Old block of four flats now having gas installed for the first time, all gas meters together just outside front door, main earthing terminal (and earth rosd) just inside front door.
Gas pipes run to boiler in kitchen of each flat, less then 1 meter of pipework inside the flat, rest on the outside wall.
I thought the best way to bond them was to link them together (unbroken 10mm) and connect to the main earthing point inside the front door.
Now a smart alec is (correctly I have to admit) saying that the regs say bond just as pipe enters each property.
This point is boxed in, and the other end of the property from the flats MET, seems pointless and disruptive to have to bond again for each flat.
Is there some other wriggle room I can use in the regs to avoid the second gas bond for each flat (such as the gas pipe not being accessable to touch in the property or something).

I haven't checked for myself, but I believe in the 18th if the gas supply has an insulating sleeve meaning the supply pipe is not electrically continuous then it doesn't need bonding.

Thinking about it the water bond is under the boiler, can just splice into that as well so bond at the meter and bond just in the flat as well, bit of hassle but will do it where practiable.
