Horses are important too

so, if steel is such a good conductor. why are we working with steel toecapped boots?

I've had some funny looks about my boots. I was fed up of replacing boots with perfectly good tread on them, barely worn, for the sake of the little circle of leather that wears out over the toecap so easily in our line of work - obviously we don't want this exposed metal, but boots do cost a bit!

SO I got some epoxy (milliput I think) and covered the whole toe area when my leather wore out again. The stuff is brilliant, gives added rigidity to the front of the boot, is hard as rock so rarely rubs down, and when it does I just smear a bit more over the hole! Finally I'm getting a bit of wear out of my work boots. You may think having yellowy-green toecaps is a downside - not so! I was rewiring someone's house and they asked if the 'boots were like that so you can see where you're putting your feet in attics?', and do you know what, it works! Bonus!

Next week on Blue Peter, wood-splinter rawlplugs.......

i thought the yellowy.green toecaps were so as to show you where the earth wire went.
