The following dead-end 3-way wiring diagram shows my current setup with the Zooz Zen21, but it's not working. This wiring works fine with a simple standard paddle 3-way switch that doesn't require a neutral wire. However, since the Zooz switch requires a neutral wire, I ran a white wire from the capped neutral wire from the breaker and the light switch to the neutral slot in the Zooz, but it didn't work. Is there another way to get the Zooz switch to work? Thank you in advance.

TL;DR
How do I wire dead end 3-way switch with Zooz smart switch zen21?

Try switching your travelers, other than that it looks like it should work

To simplify everything, I ignore the second switch in the garage and just use the Zooz switch to try to turn on the light switch. I have the following wiring and it's not working. I have tried the Zooz Zen72, Zen21, and the Kasa HS200 single pole switch. All of these smart switches that requires the neutral is unable to turn the light on with the following wiring diagram.

However, if I did the same thing with the standard paddle switch but this time capped the neutral wires together since the standard paddle switch does not require a neutral wire. It works perfectly fine with this wiring.

So, what's wrong with my wiring on the smart switches? Why are all of them not able to turn the light on?

The only thing I can suggest is that perhaps the neutral wire you are running to the smart switch isn't working!
With the direct switching that works, the neutral is already provided at the light, so you're just switching the hot.
When you connect the various smart switches, if the neutral you connect to them isn't actually there, they probably won't do anything.

Do you have a multimeter to measure what's going on?

Yes, I do have a multimeter. What do I need to measure? When I turned on the light, there is electricity flow to the light but the light is not turn on.

On the Zooz Zen72 switch:
When the switch is off: Neutral to Load = 0.066v
When the switch is on: Neutral to Load = 3.340v

When the switch is on, the load wire does have power and vice versa.

On the Zooz Zen72 switch:
When the switch is off: Neutral to Load = 0.066v
When the switch is on: Neutral to Load = 3.340v

When the switch is on, the load wire does have power and vice versa.
Both those states are “off”
An on signal would be over 100v
Are you sure your meter is set to measure ac voltage?

I was going to suggest you measure the ac voltage on the Zooz neutral terminal with respect to ground, with the switch off and then on. There shouldn't be much voltage, say ~ 1V (if that) in both cases.
Just suggesting you check the Zooz neutral terminal is actually neutral!

And just to say the wiring you show in post #1 is not consistent with the ZEN21 instructions.
But this may not be the only problem.
The regular switch only used two wires in all the Zooz documentation I can see.

Is it possible that the actual source of power for this light is at the regular 3-way switch, and what you are assuming is power at the Zooz is actually a traveller to the other switch?

Zooz switch off:
Line to Load = 121.2v
Line to Neutral 121v
Load to Neutral = 0.066v
Load to Ground = 0.0073v
Neutral to Ground = 0.009v

Zooz switch on:
Line to Load = 116.3v
Line to Neutral = 121v
Load to Neutral = 3.382v
Load to Ground = 3.349v
Neutral to Ground = 0.012v

I know for sure that the other switch and the light is not the source of the power. I've measured the voltage of those wires already.

could you please take a picture of the paper sheet that came with the Zooz switch

It's clear from your measurements that the Zooz switch is not switching power on, it's giving ~3V rather than 120!
Did you have anything in the 'traveller' terminal when doing the above measurements?

I don't have an explanation yet, but yet another question/suggestion:
Do you have a table lamp or lead light that has a plug you could remove, and put the bare ends of the wires into the 'load' and 'neutral' terminals of the Zooz, just to confirm that the simplest of circuits does work.
If it doesn't, I can only suggest that both Zooz products have failed for some reason, or the wiring is somehow different from drawn.

I was just suggesting in the previous post that you could try with a test lamp in the simplest of circuits, and check if that works.

If you looked at my #3 post, I believed that's what I have and it's not working. All smart switches that I have (3 of them) is not able to turn the light on. However, if I used the standard paddle switch, it works fine. However, the difference is, the mechanical paddle switch does not require the neutral line.

Yes I understand that is the circuit that you wired up, but I was, it seems incorrectly, under the impression that you were using the fixed wiring in the house - ie the lamp in the ceiling - to implement it. I was suggesting wiring a bulb locally directly into the switch, rather than using the house wiring for a connection to the bulb.
Sorry if I got that wrong.

If you did use a local bulb, and it still doesn't work, the logical explanation for what's going on is that all Zooz switches are faulty 🤔, which seems highly unlikely, or the wiring is actually somehow different.
Your measurements show no power appears from the zooz load terminal when switched on.

Might the Zooz traveller input need to be connected to neutral for the light to come on when first connected?
Edit - it seems from the instructions/ diagram in post #12, that is not the case.
