I'm doing a job this week wiring up some site cabins on a dockyard, I'm running a 10mm two core SWA 50 metres, there is a 9m section which is exposed to vehicles, one of them being a truck which emptys the portaloo .im thinking if protecting the cable with some sort of protection but was wondering what type of weight it would take?, cheers

Scafford boards either side of cable, if you want to be double safe lay 1 board on the ground, clip the armour along the middle then turn it upside down and use 2 other boards and lay them like a pyramid with the cable protected within.

Scaffold tube if it's thick walled or steam pipe as Tony suggested might work. I don't understand why everyone is allergic to digging nowadays, you could trench 9 meters in an hour or two with a couple of guys, surely it's going to take much longer cutting and welding tube and bits of anchor plate.

Was not allowed to dig as its temp arrangement and its concrete, went for putting the SWA in 25mm heavy gauge steel conduit then heavy duty scaffold board either side then one on top, then I used a electric plane to round off the edges to create a small ramp, installation manager was plenty happy with it.
Cheers
