current - 16amp mcb 2.5 radial going through a dp switch 20a which feeds another dp switch 20a which then feeds the two thermostats within immersion ,

i was called because breaker was tripping , immersor pulling 26amps overloading 16amp mcb thus tripping.

immersion system is on the normal side of the supply and not off peak.

i plan on giving immersor two seperate radial feeds , top and bottom thermostats
two seperate spurs and having it on off peak side , there is currently no boost function available.

anyones thoughts

It supplies both off peak element and boost element (but not at same time) - it has 2 flex out options, one for each.
The off peak output is controlled by the timer, the boost is 24hr.

You probably know this (apologies if you do) but ALL the house is on cheap rate at night so your supply just needs to be timed to heat off peak element at night.

thanks mate looks Like best way forward any suggestions on what one to use

Try this
Economy 7 Digital Timeswitch + Boost Control

One thing though, are you sure that there isn't one already there? perhaps somewhere more convenient for users eg kitchen - the DP switch adj to immersion tank may just be used as flex out means.

definte sure theres a dp switch in kitchen marked water heater which feeds another dp switch in cupboard upstair which then has two t&e coming from it each feeding a heater in the tank which is in loft

You should be able to install the timer in the kitchen in place of the DP switch (presumably in the kitchen DP there is twin in/twin out) You just need the feed in and 2 switched loads out of the timer unit (it would appear the cables already run up to the tank) - remember though you will need DP isolation somewhere before the timer.
