Good evening gentlemen i been asked to put switched fused spur in the airing cupboard for a shower pump the customer says the plumber says just tag it on to the immersion ! What's everybody's take on this ?

Thanks!, I'll buy that for the requiring RCD, I thought that something else was being hinted at. Still curious about the why no spur (I've seen loads like it) feeding older mechanical timers in the airing cupboard for example and running the CH pump.Cables buried less than 50mm without mechanical protection?
