Hi Dave, when i came up on a similar job, I used a surface mounted, double back box and extended all the circuits using connector blocks. Then just put a blanking plate over the top so all live conductors were enclosed and accessible. Very neat aswell. The NIC man thought it was a good idea too.
thats relly rough junction boxes would b the choice before themCan you not use some PVC trunking and thru crimp the cables to where you want to reposition the new CU
How did you work that out then,seeing as the original CU is in a cupboard above the front doorWhat would you rather see,loads of J/Bs with cables dangling or a bit of white trunking hiding them all.My preference mate and it looks much neaterthats relly rough junction boxes would b the choice before them
