it's legislation allowing HMRC to take tax of them what's so-called self-employed, but not reaqlly AS THEONLY WORK FOR 1 COMPANY AS IF THEY WERE EMPLOYED. SOME TING LIKE THAT. BLOODY caps lock next to 2A". stupid.

as my post. pete. some companys are having workers self-employed so as to avoid NI etc. IR35 is HMRC's way of grabbing tax, when these workers should not be classed as s/e as they only work for 1 firm rather than contracting to several, or working direct to customers.

I’m being told that after April most firms won’t have subbies unless they go umbrella or PAYE. Same with agencies

IR35 is tax legislation which was originally brought in around 20 years ago, as far as I know, but is due for a radical change this April.

Yes because the rules change in April and the self employed person will no longer face the retrospective tax bill, it will all be on the employer.
