Israel And The Gaza Strip

Some words from those poor downtrodden Israeli politicians and journalists who just want to live in peace.
We must blow Gaza back to the middle ages destroying all the infrastructure including roads and water- Eli Yisha (Knesset member and one of four deputy prime ministers)
There should be no electricity in Gaza, no gasoline, no moving vehicles, nothing...we need to flatten entire neighbourhoods..flatten all of Gaza-Gilad Sharon (in the Jerusalem Post)
There are no innocents in Gaza, kill the Gazans without thought or mercy- Michael Ben-Ari (Knesset member)
Gaza should be bombed so hard that the population has to flee into Egypt- Israel Katz (Minister of transportation)

See Hamas rejected the ceasefire again, didn't even hear the BBCs 'impartiality' report mention that even very quietly this time

Israel rejected the Hamas offer of a ten year cease fire because they didn't want to allow the borders to open under UN control and supervision

Both sides are blaming the other but Hamas did reject one cease fire offer because of the terms offered. In a nutshell there was no change to Israel's position but lots on their side. Hamas also rejected the deal proposed by Egypt for pretty much the same reason.
The Hamas offer was not unreasonable, they wanted their borders opened under UN control, the recognition of their right to statehood, the extension of the waters they're allowed to fish in to generally accepted international limits, the withdrawal of the illegal settlements and the dismantling of the wall Israel has built since 2002.
All of these things have been the subject of UN resolution which Israel has ignored.

No mate, usually I work but it doesn't take much digging to find stuff like I've put up earlier. Makes for scary reading doesn't it?

I also think it's important to find things out that you're not usually told.

What really amazes me is that after the holocaust I would have thought they would be kind gentle people they seem as bad as the natzi's

Most are, not all of the Israeli people support what is going on but sadly a lot of their media is what we'd call far right so they're told that they are victims.

Depends on which way you look at it. One of us is one the right as you look at the photo but is really on the left.
The cute one in the Santa suit is my grandson on his first christmas. The ugly old bugger who needs a shave is me
