hi i would like to know why i just received an electric shock from my kitchen sink all i did was touch the tap to turn it on i got hit n it hurt why would this happen?

ive used the tap before i've lived here for 7 years whats up with it why did i get a shock?

would an electrian cost alot of money to fix it?

Let me get this right....................

You got an electric shock off a tap while standing in your bare feet?
ok so far..............

You then go and put your shoes on and a pair of leather gloves then again use the same tap that 2 minutes previously nearly killed you ?

mmmmmm..........must just be me:shocked:

If he was used to working on a live bus bar chamber he would possibly learn to keep one hand in his pocket lol
He needs to insulate his feet and do the dishes one handed,or better still,do as suggested and watch the rugby

Deals with a similar problem the other week for a friend.

Had his hand on the washing machine and touched the sink, he got a belt. Turned out the CPC had never been connected in the back of the socket feeding the washing machine! Bloody new build houses!

He has also had the terminals melt at the rear of his cooker which no doubt was a loose connection..
