Good man efcsnakes.

Re: hardest exam ever, well, as far as I'm aware, the C&G 2391-10 has had THE lowest pass rate of any C&G exam, so I was told (or read in the Sun!).

So if true, must make it at least one of the hardest exams to pass....? Anyway it'll be a thing of legend in a few months. Well done anyway for passing, can't be taken off you!

I am not taking away the fact people have worked hard to pass... all i am getting at is I think the reason the pass rate is so low is because of people not putting the hours in and also a big factor is colleges and training centre's offering 5 day courses and just pushing people through for the money. in my opinion that is a major reason for the low pass rate. not other sparks short comings.

while I am on will the 2391 now become not recognised in favor of the new qualifications?

Ah, I see what you are saying. Not sure about ins & outs of whats what in future there are some other pretty knowledgable people on here though thatMight know.

anyone point me in right direction...

for a tt system the value of the earth electrode resistance Ra in ohms multiplied by the operating current in amperes of the protective device (I an) should not exceed 50v

for example if Ra = 200 ohms the the maximum operating current should not exceed 250mA

i just cant seem to end up with an awnser that leads me to 250mA..

any help here with a simple working out would be great if your not upto much but hooked on electrics...
