Kitchen fitter - wired in cooker &

E

Electricalserv

Everything blown. Quite a distance away from me don't know whether to do the job????

Old wylex rewirable....

What you guys think? Blown the main fuse? I dread to think how they have wired it in....Apparently all they did was disconnect cooker as worktops needed to go in and re-connected it and boom everything is out!

come on guys not all kitchen fitters are bad, just as not all electricians are good !!!!

Imagine there're no sparky's,
It's easy if you try,
No kitchen fitter problems to annoy us,
Completely free to try.
Imagine all electricians
Giving their time away...

Imagine there're no companies,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to fit or break for,
No electrocutions too,
Imagine all electricians
Giving their time away...

Imagine there're no customers,
I wonder if you can,
No need for bodgeit or scarper,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all electricians
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a loonie,
But I'm not the only one.
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

I fit £60,000 pound + kitchens for a bespoke company in leicestershire 4 years apprenticeship carpentry and joinery, 3 years electrician city and guilds 17th edition, I like to think I do the electrics the right way, you guys are very talented and I enjoy the wealth of knowledge on this site but you do love to slate other trades, and with all my qualifications I still class myself as a kitchen fitter/joiner because it is the better trade :)

I did/do a bit of labouring for a kitchen fitter.
I will admit he does like to put sockets in wierd and wonderfull places but i cant see any 1 taking the power out screwing a worktop down.
But he/we do go around fixing every 1 elses boo boo's
And there the Orange shed approved guys lol

4 years apprenticeship to be shown how to put a bit of flat pack together.....better trade my arse.

Does the apprenticeship show you how to put the handles on level? Cos if so, I've never worked with a kitchen fitter who had an apprenticeship lol.

Hope the punter in the original post realises that tomorrow the call out charge will double, on account of it being a bank holiday weekend and all.......

not so much slating other trades as slating other trades who try and do electrics badly or by accident or design, bugger up our work ( blowtorching cables, filling back boxes with plaster, nailing through cables etc. )
