Everything blown. Quite a distance away from me don't know whether to do the job????

What you guys think? Blown the main fuse? I dread to think how they have wired it in....Apparently all they did was disconnect cooker as worktops needed to go in and re-connected it and boom everything is out!

We are all manual trades and in comparison to artistic craftsmen of old and some obscure trades today,we are all just modern-materials bash it together artisans

Actual trade skills,whether woodworking or electrics or many others,declined many moons ago

Multi skilling is definitely the future, allthough it is regrettable in my opinion

Bad kitchen fitter = wonky handles / doors & draws fall apart
Bad plumber = leaks / flooding
Bad gas-fitter = fire accidents / carbon monoxide poisoning
Bad electrician = electrocution / serious fire

Smell gas and avert a fire. Drive a nail on to a cable hidden in the wall and get electrocuted / burn the house down.

To call it an over inflated ego is missing the point. I'm merely agreeing with the truth. No doubt I'll be first against the wall come the takeover, but in the meantime I'll be reclining on the rolling meadows of the moral high ground, sipping the chilled martini of righteousness...pml

You make me laugh mate. Get a life and carry on with your containment. That's where you'll find electricians mates. I won't do it. Any old labourer can bend steel or pushfit. No I won't do fire alarms because I have no experience doing it! Not pulling any bluffs there. Call out's I do daily except in this case it was 20 miles away at 4pm on a Friday. I was going to do it for a £100 call out. He wouldn't pay it. Now jog on
