Got me the 400mm high version of this is white. Fantastic as a step-up, and a seat.

I've had both knees and a hip replaced. If I stand too close when using a stud,cable and pipe finder it "beeps". I have to use it at arms length so it doesn't find my knees.

After all that just been having a chat with my good old Mum (should have gone there first really).... she's only just been and gone to the docs last week with dodgy knees, gave her a quarterzone injection in each one and now they are perfect. Sounds promising

Possibly cortisone!

I have had several friends and family members having cortisone injections with good results in various joints, time of effectiveness does vary but certainly a month and usually longer.

Cod liver oil is really good for your joints. Squash not so good for them. I'd pack the squash in and take up golf. A lot less impact on the knees, but still great exercise and lots of fun. I had to pack up 5 aside footy for similar reasons. I don't have too much bother with my knees now a days. Or maybe even badminton is a better alternative, got to be less impact on the knees.

As i write this i am in the hospital waiting room because of severe pain in my knees, i am about to get my mri scan results to find out if i need surgery.

Knee pads have definatly helped and doing some balence/strength excercises help a bit, but you have to do them daily.

By the way, im only 24.

Cheers jay, i feel like i should be. At the moment i feel like wrapping a wheelchair around someones head, ive just had to postpone a job this afternoon because someones sick and there are 2hour delays for all appointments, so i am not a happy bunny at the moment.

I am 45 and if there is one thing i could change about my working life,i would have worn knee pads from day one.I have cortisone injections in my shoulder but they take a few weeks to start working and only last about 6 weeks and they dont like giving them to you too often

All young sparks take note.Not wearing knee pads doesnt make you hard it just makes you stupid and is storing up years of pain later on in life

well, i'm 66 and the knees are a bit knackered, but if i take it easy it's not too much of a problem. best advice is to sit on a low stool or even the floor when you can, rather than kneeling. . i've got a toolbox with a sit and step lid. bloody invaluable.

Problem for us all mate as we get older - I am an Energy Consultant - regularly kneeling to look at electrical equipment, get inside HVAC plant, access loft spaces - oh y'know the kinda stuff we all do - my only relief is to build the muscles around me knees through swimming and cycling - and sadly I remain an FB despite the efforts - so final recourse 12 y.o. malt - far better than any anti-inflammatory!

agree with the anesthetic. 12 yr. old from scotland. my fav. is one from the isles. trying to rem the name. laphroiig, or something like. real peaty taste and aroma.
