Just in case anyone is interested, it's my last day at work tomorrow, bitter sweet memories, could be some tears, I think not, can't wait.
39 years qualified + 5 as an Apprentice.

I was working with him on Sunday, we had a good laugh mostly at my expense. I spilt very hot tea all over my legs, then I thought it would be a good idea to hit my knee with a hammer (it wasn't)
When he spotted the bit of hair I'd missed with the razor he tried to get a pic of it for the other place.
Got a load done though and the day went quickly

Trev, shall we try and keep this thread on track mate? I'm sure that Pete has had a laugh at our posts but this is his retirement thread which only happens once in a life time.

Sorry Pete. PM me your local pub e-mail address and I'll buy you a pint via PayPal. (serious offer btw). Have one on me this weekend

Thanks Paul, there really is no need mate I know if we lived closer to each other you would buy me a pint, thanks for the offer really nice that was.

Yes he did and today's were better than that!!!! I'm going to buy him a volt pen for Xmas, if he last that long?

Shame your busy Trev. You, DS, me and Phil would have a brilliant laugh, well it has been so far. Look forward to working with you again man.

(trying to get this important thread back on track)..... I bet Pete never had a "gaffer" blowing up his snips every 2nd week?

Most of the time I was the Gaffer

All the very best of luck, fella. Not the end of owt'...but the start of something new!

My folks (still very active at 72 and 79!) have never been so busy, since retiring.

...Just keep in mind, what happened to Danny Glover,in "Lethal weapon".... :joker:

Your a dinosaur, the Electrical Trainee are the new leaders in the trade, you deserve to be removed from the trade, I am glad your retiring, there is no place for very good competent electricians like you in the year 2015 in the UK.

Well thanks for that vote of approval

Well done Pete, I wish you well in your future endeavours! I hope that you have a worthwhile pot to keep afloat and to enjoy your latter years.
