Barker and Huhne are complete lemons. Both are clearly way out of their depth at this level of Government. Let's not forget, Huhne (with his colourful personal life) allegedly got his ex-wife to take speeding points for him whilst Barker has links with Russian oil companies. Not exactly the kind of people I would choose to be running the "Green Agenda". It would be nice if Cameron got rid of these muppets and put decent folk in charge.

What really annoys me is that according to the table in the report published last night, difference in the additional cost on energy bills caused by delaying the cut off date to 1 April rather than 12 December was £1 per bill (in 2020) on their initial assessment, and £2 per bill on their latest assessment.

To put that in perspective, according to DECC figures, the average electricity bill is currently £400 and has increased by 13% since 2007 (i.e. in the last 4 years). If we assume a similar increase of 13% from 2012-2016, and another 13% from 2016 to 2020 (which I suspect is on the low side). The average electricity bill is set to increase by over £100 by 2020 in any case.

No sensible person would not have been able to see the stupidity and potential problems (including legal objections) of having the cut off date before the consultation finishes, and it transpires it was only for a minuscule saving on customer bills.

Nissan Leaf is supposed to have a smart box available that allows you to top up and store your excess solar in the car, then at night call upon the Leaf to power your home and still leave enough for the next day. At 110mile range is not bad for a run around. Still expensive for those that can afford 30k but does show a nice direction the market is moving towards.

ive not read anything above except supplier i spoke to today said this is last thing they wanted! they had planned on 21p everybody makes money solar carries on! now its LIMBO TIME! also when FIT money runs out (its all over) they said this is worst case senario???????????????

there is no reason at all why this should mean the end of FiT. The budget is derisory and needs reviewing.
The Governments bribary laden response that if we don't accept it they will close FiT altogether is like a petulant child wanting to take their football away because everyone else won't play to their rules. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious. It's more like a scene from the new statesman than real life. It's unbelievable.

If the dimwits that have caused this pantomime upset the renewable's in the UK then they will be taken to task on by the European crowd.
As it stands, they do not appear to do to well in court!
