As i said Inexperienced
I agree with most of what your saying here and of course without information how are we supposed to advise and i also get the hump with alot of these posts especially the recent ones we have had.
But i have noticed that sometimes even if a person has shown there cable calcs and methods of installation then they still get raped on here.
We all make mistakes and nobody is perfect so sometimes rather than everybody just ganging up and jumping on the band wagon why not just give some constructive critisism.
We all love banter and without it you wouldnt last long on site and some of these posts do take the mickey but alot of the responses are uncalled for in some circumstances
Let us know what you think the cost should be or approx should be and we will jump in and help. If you are starting in business you need to have an idea of what your costs need to be so lets start the ball rolling so you will know what to charge for future works.doing my first loft conversion.need six sockets, light and smoke alarm .thinking of new ring circuit, light and alarm off existing light circuit ...is this the easiest/best way and approx what price do i charge
At that price I would expect a shower to be thrown in as well, all off the existing lighting of course!Feed your 6 new sockets, the new light and the alarm off the existing lighting circuit as you suggest and charge the ÂŁ12,000.

seems to be a lot of trolling going on lately even by some so called established members who like to troll about, the team is banning quite a few, I would recommend the OP gives some idea of the price he thinks should be charged, we can then help, some of us have been estimating for a long time and would redily help someone who is trying to get on in business. We need more info really and if the OP said I think ÂŁ300, or ÂŁ500 or whatever we would have jumped in, so many trolls about it is difficult to know who is genuine.Yep I know what you're saying MDJ, it's just that lately everyone seems to be intent on putting new people off joining the forum. Daz
oh for god sake
He won't help you.

yes very calm, as I mentioned the trolls are out, I know of one or two members who have been banned for trolling lately, and repeatedly warned since, so when a thread starts without much info the worse seems to be considered, the OP in this case may well be genuine I suppose, hopefully he will come back with his idea of costs.Mike that is a very calm reply have you got soothing music playing in the background, I am impressed
How else would you suggest it be wired? I'm flippin pro you know!At that price I would expect a shower to be thrown in as well, all off the existing lighting of course!
