Plus vat, which we're not going to be registrered for but don't tell anyone that bit, we'll score an extra 20 %
Jobs a goodun

So now we have sorted the pricing structure and the vat scam there's only one more thing to sort, which am I Bodge it or scarper:thinking2:

As i said Inexperienced

Do you consider yourself experienced enough to be carrying out the work you do, without supervision or help ?
If the answer is no, you maybe should consider gaining more practical experience working with someone else. If the answer is yes, you should be able to figure out your original questions for yourself.

Take confidence from the way you get around problems on site. The way you use your nowse to figure the best way round things, and the methods you develop for coping with the problems you come up against.

I agree with most of what your saying here and of course without information how are we supposed to advise and i also get the hump with alot of these posts especially the recent ones we have had.
But i have noticed that sometimes even if a person has shown there cable calcs and methods of installation then they still get raped on here.
We all make mistakes and nobody is perfect so sometimes rather than everybody just ganging up and jumping on the band wagon why not just give some constructive critisism.
We all love banter and without it you wouldnt last long on site and some of these posts do take the mickey but alot of the responses are uncalled for in some circumstances

You have made a good point. I have noticed one or two who are always quick to reply with sarcastic/insulting posts but actually rarely give any electrical advice or input. Makes me think they just like to reply to berate and belittle others and have very little electrical knowledge or understanding.

Let us know what you think the cost should be or approx should be and we will jump in and help. If you are starting in business you need to have an idea of what your costs need to be so lets start the ball rolling so you will know what to charge for future works.

Yep I know what you're saying MDJ, it's just that lately everyone seems to be intent on putting new people off joining the forum. Daz
seems to be a lot of trolling going on lately even by some so called established members who like to troll about, the team is banning quite a few, I would recommend the OP gives some idea of the price he thinks should be charged, we can then help, some of us have been estimating for a long time and would redily help someone who is trying to get on in business. We need more info really and if the OP said I think ÂŁ300, or ÂŁ500 or whatever we would have jumped in, so many trolls about it is difficult to know who is genuine.

Mike that is a very calm reply have you got soothing music playing in the background, I am impressed

yes very calm, as I mentioned the trolls are out, I know of one or two members who have been banned for trolling lately, and repeatedly warned since, so when a thread starts without much info the worse seems to be considered, the OP in this case may well be genuine I suppose, hopefully he will come back with his idea of costs.

I think I am going to keep quiet then as I did gob off a bit at the op, it is just that there seems to be days when all the daft or annoying threads all come at once , but that's me done just going to sit back and read the threads probably safer.
