What was wrong was fitting a fan in a shower before knowing whether or not it was right or wrong to do so in the first place! Do you own a regs book?

gordie spark please i need to hear from you if im wrong tell me and say why so i can learn from you.many thanks

I mean you are an idiot for fitting the thing WITHOUT reading the Manufacturers Instructions first!

Step 1. Open box containing fan.

Step 2. Remove fan and Manufactures Instructions from box.

Step 3. Put fan to one side and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!

Step 4. Fit the fan - as described in the Manufacturers Instructions !!!

THEN you will know you have fitted it correctly and will have no problems with customers telling you you have done it wrong and no need to ask others if it's right or wrong.

It makes my mind boggle - The manufacturers go to the trouble of printing the instructions and YOU can't be bothered to read them!! :banghead:

Doesn't sound like you have done much wrong. Always check manufactures specs for suitability. If the fan is ceiling mounted maybe outside of zones above 2.25m above ffl. As for the difference between elv and lv have a look in bgb.
