hi avery one done full house rewire including low voltage fan in a shower cubicle 2years ago,the owner rang me saying some 1 told him that the fan is danger and should not be there.please help
 
NOT TO WORRY BEEN IN THIS MORNING WITH MY 4INCH CUTTER ,MOVED THE FAN OUT THE SHOWER CUBICLE JOB IS DONE , thanks again to GEORDIE SPARK for his nice and lovely comments ,

No, the regs say that 'equipment shall be selected and erected so as to allow compliance with ... BS7671 and shall take account of manufacturers' instructions.' (510.3)

ie, you don't have to follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter. For example, I might decide that a 6A BS EN 60898 MCB gives adequate overcurrent protection, as an alternative to the specified '3A fuse'.

That is true.

However, 134.1.1 is much more specific and states -
Electrical equipment shall be installed in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the equipment.


Then, of course, on page 2 of the BGB it states -

Whilst the publisher and contributors believe that the information and guidance given in this work is correct, all parties must rely upon their own skill and judgement when making use of it.
Neither the publisher nor any contributor assume any liability ...


So, page 2 says we must decide which of 134.1.1 or 510.3 is the mistake.
