Whats your preferred way? What you thinks easier? Any useful tools made for terminating it?

My way is to score with a junior.
Then when making off the gland I like to use an adjustable with slip joint pliers.
Then when stripping the inner to reveal the conductors, I use bending and a sharp blade.

Just a question on what tools and tricks you guys use to terminate it.

Cheers

looks like you have you have it about rite...

wrap a bit of tape round the cable first to ensure a straight cut with the hacksaw. for the inner insulation i use a rotary cutter, similar to jakari and if the insulation won't pull off, slice it to the end with stanley.

funny, i always used to do it that way , but got told it was wrong. should fit gland into enclosure first. soon as the boss had gone, went back to my way. a bonus is that if you've not yet fitted the enclosure to the wall or whatever and the cables a fraction long or short, you can adjust the position of the box so the cable dresses just so.

Gland in the enclosure first up to 35mm after that gland on the cable first! Tried to do a 120 4 core with the gland in the enclosure first once. Stabbed myself right through my finger with one of the steel cores. Always ring the inner sheath as It looks horrible when its all miss matched and rough!

A lot of issues can be solved by giving the connections an extra push with the back side of a Stanley blade if they haven't quite mates properly.
