I went to change the mr16 led bulb in my manrose extractor with a different make bulb both are 6w but the new bulb wont work so I bought a different one again and it wont work either .
I put the old bulb back in and it works ok (I wanted to change to a cool white bulb)
im baffled by this any ideas would be great?

original will be a halogen. as previous post by Lee. change the transformer for a LED driver.

That LED power supply has a 24V DC output, which doesn't seem right for any of the lamps that you have. The LED lamps rated at 12V may be damaged by a 24V supply and the LED lamp rated at 230V won't work (never seen a 230V lamp with that base).

I'm guessing that whoever fitted the 24V supply got away with it because it limits its output current to 0.625A, which might keep the power dissipated in the 12V lamp to a level at which it doesn't fail too quickly.

I would replace the power supply with a 12V one and then try a new 12V lamp.
