I would love to have David cameron as my gofer on site all day..... i would get him bending 25mm steel conduit with his knee and getting my tea !!!!

I'd rather set fire to my own genitalia. A tory who is to the right of Duncan Smith and an idiot who, despite the lovable buffoon image he likes to project, is just another one who worships at the altar of St Margaret of Kesteven
I assume you're talking about BoJo, not Nigel Farage?

No I'm talking about both of them. The descriptions are slightly interchangeable because Farage likes to play the buffoon sometimes just as much as Johnson although I have to admit when I first wrote that the buffoon bit was about Johnson.

I don't think it matters who is at the top, none of them give a ---- about the working individual & even less if you are native to these green & pleasant lands.

Although they do all seem to be shmoozing over the Jocks...............if they want to go it alone let them its their choice, just don't let the bank of England be guarantors for their finance.

Dont care which party or leader is in power ...... as long as they continue not to bother with my overseas "slush" fund

time to implement a revolution and install a dictatorship of the proletariat
No, that's just Leninism.
First off we need proportional representation. No serving MP at present got more than 42% of the votes cast in their constituency. Some got as low as 20%
That will give us a fairer electoral system than we have at present.
Then we need an independent body, preferably headed up by judges because they're used to being impartial, who are empowered to properly hold parliament to account.
We then need a strict set of rules for what these *******s can and cannot do. If it isn't in their manifesto then they can't do it.
Then a set of rules governing their conduct while in office and what they can and cannot claim for. I don't want to pay to keep Nahim Zadawi's bloody horses warm and neither should you.
That'll do for starters.

You could probably say that about every politician - whatever you say about her Margaret Thatcher was popular, she accomplished a lot and she came from humble beginnings, which the electorate seem to prefer over the usual Eton educated posh boys, who eventually ousted her from power.

I don't see what's so wrong with the current system, in that whoever can be bothered to vote gets their voice heard, and the party who gets the most votes wins.
My problem with it is in the way you vote for who controls your local area, and the person who wins that election represents the area in parliament; I'm worried about a situation where I agree with one candidate's vision for the local area but I want a different party in government.

Like politicians, judges have something of an image problem - they're seen as out of touch with the working man.
In many ways I agree with the present system of appointing judges, and even politicians - I've worked for companies where management are appointed on the 'peter principle', ie they get promoted because they were good at what they did in their last position with no consideration for how qualified they are for the job they're applying for, eg just because a chippy is really good at turning up on time and butchering up wood doesn't mean they'll be any good at organising other trades.
Similarly I think a politician should be elected based on how they can improve things for everyone in the long term, and not someone who can win a popularity contest - someone who has made a career out of politics should be better qualified to be a politician than some X-factor contestant or TV personality. Jeremy Clarkson might sound like he's got some realistic ideas but that doesn't necessarily mean he should be Prime Minister.

Really don't understand why people want labour back...

-You already pay ÂŁ80 extra on your fuel bill because Labour said they will freeze energy prices.
-Gordon Brown manipulated the stock market on gold prices just to bail out the USA using our reserves ...Illegal in itself it backfired and left us with no rainy day money... if you think Im wrong then what idiot announces when he's going to flood the world market with gold reserves unless he was saving someones ---.
-Labour let immigration run out of control and only in the last year do they admit this, as a direct consequence we have to wait 1week plus for Dr appointments, the health service is bursting and cannot cope, schools are over capacity, living on benefits became a way of life and not a short term solution to someone in difficulty
-Before they lost power as a final damming act they signed of a load of powers to the EU that we have since been paying for dearly and even had the audacity to leave a piece of paper saying the pot is bare....

Regardless of who came next they were left with trillion pound debt that had to be recovered and devastated pension plans etc... left when Mr Brown raided the pension pots ...Im not Pro -conservative as I also have issues with some of there policies but to be fare in their term they have ensured UK survived the crash and are now at a bigger higher growth rate and goods export than before the crash ..yes alot of people had to reign in and watch pennies but it was a crash thats what happens but they have done a few things I agree with...

-Got over a million people off sick pay and benefits through self withdrawn claims
-Made people realise child benefits are not for Sky, fancy phones beer and cigs but for your kid.... I know so many people whinging about having to lose these luxuries because they now need to use the money to actually buy their kids clothes etc.
-Bedroom tax ,,yeah the hated tax but why should a family with spare room be funded by the work force to have larger home than required when as a private owner Im taxed on the number of rooms I have and have always been, in defense Ill agree their isn't enough available housing to rehouse these people but that brings us back to uncontrolled mass immigration again self admitted downfall of Labour.....

So sorry MJD you give a opinion but don't show why ..... Labour had such a long term to get it all right but now they are bleating if we were back in term we make sure this, that etc but never did when they were holding the reigns

All in all they all ---- in the same pot but the coalition has kinda stopped the benefit set-up as a life style rather than a helping hand.

Ian Duncan Smith, a face you'd never get sick of slapping.

Trev, in my previous job I used to meet up with some of these parasites( MPs that is ) imho they all want slapping, never met such an insincere bunch of non-entities before, all in it for the betterment of their bank balance. Sorry rant over
