Mixed conduit grounding question

Hey all,
I'm running a few outlets to my basement from the main panel on the first floor. Since it is a garage, sealed 3/4" pvc conduit runs through the concrete into the basement. This connects to a metal junction box and 3/4 emt, with metal junction and outlet boxes the rest of the way. There are two 20 amp circuits and one 15 amp circuit for the lights. I know that I can use the emt itself as the ground path as long as it is connected to the main panel. My question is: Would it be code compliant to run one ground wire from the main panel, through the pvc, to the first metal junction box, and then ground all of my outlets to their outlet boxes further down the line?

Run a ground wire throughout AND bond to all metal boxes with ground screw or at least to the outlet itself. Using EMT or any conduit as a ground or bond has been against the NEC (US code book), for any new installation, a good long while. The ONLY exceptions are if you don't touch it, or install a GFCI & bond to the box.
The path to ground is the most important circuit in an electrical system. I would call a local electrician for advice as to any local codes in your city/state that I maybe unaware of.

Matt PVC or not you are required to pull 1ground wire per raceway sized to coincide with the largest conductor

Thanks! Yes, I am running gcfi outlets and have one ground running from the box throughout.
