Ok. We know what a fluorescent fitting looks like.
Need to know what wiring/connections are inside.

See my post from yesterday. I asked for a photo of the connections.

I understand the concern you guys have but I have built pc’s in the past I know that’s far away from true electrical work but I can get technical and do this myself. I was actually trying to even get a pointer towards an article/tutorial/guide or book anything that I can learn to do this myself. Even a video. So if anyone can signpost me to the correct place I would be grateful.

Thank you. Apologies if I have caused any forum rules to be broken was not my intention.

The problem is that there are many ways that a lighting circuit can be configured.
Loop in at the switch, loop in at the fitting, junction box hidden in the loft or under the landing floor. All sorts.

Do as I have asked several times. Post a photo of the connections inside the light. I can then point you to a diagram of how yours might be configured.

The light fitting you have cannot be converted to use a B22 (BC) or E27 (ES) light bulb so the whole fitting would need to be replaced with a suitable bayonet or Edison screw lamp holder.
You mention E22 which is not a light fitting designation and also mention screwing a lamp in which would be an E27 lampholder (or possibly E14).
This is a reasonably straightforward operation for an electrician but can be inconvenient if the wiring is not well arranged, as if often the case. If you were to search for replacing a ceiling light on you tube I am sure you might well find lots of videos, though most of them would not cover a fluorescent fitting as a start point.

Hi again,

Apologies not had a chance to disassemble the fixture to take a picture as I need a hand to separate it. Will get it done soon and upload a pic.

Thanks guys.
