The government have announced that all electricians working in domestic dwellings need to be qualified to nvq level 3 and have a jib card personally I think it's a great idea what's your thoughts and has anyone else herd the same

I had all this out with the NIC before , all they say its between the customer and the guy , and if thats not resolved , the customer is to report it to the NIC , Looks to me as if they are putting obstacles in the way so that nothing goes to them and making it difficult,,

I don't know how many I have seen like this , this is happening everywhere as this must be tip of an iceberg.
You may even think the scams are just running themselves in to the ground , not sure ,,

Well, they're certainly not giving value for all the money filling the troughs.
But, then again, it's what we've come to expect..providing a service to put their logo on a certificate/report is all they're interested in.
Who cares about any comebacks ? It's just going to get worse. They're frightened to death of kicking up a fuss...it'll have to be paid for.

I'd suggest that it's a damned sight worse now, than before this Part Pee crap came into effect!! Before, all you had was the DIY Daves down the pub, (they will always be around no matter what happens) and the odd rogue electricians along with a few others characters..... Now, via the Scheme providers themselves (which were don't forget, created to safely operate and administer Part Pee) you have manufactured 5 Week and 17 day incompetent wannabe's, being let loose in their thousands, on to a completely unsuspecting public!!!

If you're still not convinced, any one here know, of anyone applying for Part P registration with any of these Scam Part P providers actually failing the so-called assessment and subsequently being refused entry?? ..... I'm thinking they must be as rare as finding a Ming Vase at a boot sale!! lol!!

There must be one out there somewhere, surely! Dont know of any myself but it cant be like modern exams, everyone passes ......

That would be hard to fail ,,unless I suppose he may have been a young lad who couldn't be bothered , and was employed and didn't care ...

did they die during the test?
I cant believe anyone living could fail the test

That suprises me Andy lol, it was ridiculously easy, I think anyone who has even a inclin of what H&S is about would pass it, even the wife would I reckon.

The group were all given small booklets to revise from before the test, most stuck their noses in to have a look. Not him, he gave it all the big I am, "If you cant pass this test you should be shot, got to be an idiot not to know this stuff, won't catch me revising anything, I'm too cool for school" etc.
There was only one failure. Kind of satisfying.

He had a habit of letting his mouth run off with him but didn't have the intellect to back himself up.
