Still won't address ALL the cowboys doing cash work on the side with no qualifications...
just highlighted a few bits...It can’t and won’t come in one fell swoop much as I would like it to (why I don’t know, I’ve never done domestic.) But I’ll defend true tradesmen to the last.
As in Steve Betts statement a progressive process has to be put in place. I’m sorry* if some of the Electrical Trainee’s fall by the wayside. But if they can’t cope with the requirements they shouldn’t have been in the trade in the first place.
*no I’m not! The sooner you in trade get your act together the better.
This is just saying that the JIB agree with the committee recommendations and not been put into force in anyway.Biff see number 45 though you could of just googled it it's there for all to see jib news page as well so there's your link
Just tell me the JIB/SJIB still requires a core qualification (236/2360, 2330, 2365 etc) and not just a NVQ 3 to obtain a JIB Electricians ticket?? Without that core qualification, any add-on certificate, including the NVQ 3 is ''Meaningless''.
So on that score my C & G 236 parts 1 & 2 and 31 years in the game count for zilch towards a JIB card having held an approved card for years.
Your wrong Richard. If you have the 236 parts 1 and 2 and as you qualified quite a few years ago you would get a card I am sure, the parts 1 and 2 have a lot of respect and merit throughout the industry. I am suprised you didn't obtain an AM2 though, that would have helped hugely. So on that score my C & G 236 parts 1 & 2 and 31 years in the game count for zilch towards a JIB card having held an approved card for years.
