I'v picked up a couple CU changel that I intend to use for my assessment. The question is - i know I need to notify bc before work comenses but the plan would be to notify the work myself once assessment is complate. Also if I remove main fuse do you think this would be looked at negatively by the assessor ?

It is DNO OCPD and carrier, test and inspect,no certs or paperwork required.

It's in every Regs book,of every colour...it's just written in lemon juice.

Don’t worry about the service fuse I haven’t had it mentioned on an assessment.
I would get the notification for the job done before the assessment though as it’s something they like to check.
I got marked down for notifications as the assessor couldn’t check mine on his tablet I had no WiFi as just moved house.
I don’t suppose they can afford 4g tablets...

The OP is having an NIC assessment. As Certsure are keen to market their on-line certification, it might be worth while contacting them on how to resolve this conundrum.

I did my first assessment with Elecsa, before their on-line certificate software went live. I completed an EIC with my own software, ready for my assessment. My assessor then inspected the EIC, then gave me my login details and showed me how to complete the notification process. Obviously, you can't complete the LBC notification, until you have been assessed and been accepted into the scheme, hence why the OP has asked his question.

Now with the completion of an EIC, using the Certsure software, it has made the process of assessment, certification and notification, slightly more complex. Once registered, notification is an automated process, following 'finalisation' of an EIC.
