One ring main covering a brand new 3 bed house

yes me too lol, amazing how 2 twin and earth to several sockets can cause so much confusion, I'm glad this thread isn't about control wiring lmao.

No, it was your assessment in brackets, not the fact that you hadn't heard of a staggered ring circuit!! lol!!

Oh right, so why would one still choose a ring for our theoretical line of dado sockets, instead of a radial of the appropriate CSA? Are we thinking of better load distribution across two legs? When I suggested a radial I was more thinking more of physical layout.

okay 8 sockets in a dado trunking, leg 1 to socket 1, leg 2 to socket 2, then link from socket 1 to socket 3, link from socket 2 to socket 4, socket 3 to socket 5, socket 4 to socket 6, socket 5 to socket 7, socket 6 to socket 8, link from 7 to 8, 2 legs at every point, all short links of cable no need to wire to socket 1 and 8 and link between, in a dado however a real ring would be fine, in a house when wiring through joists it is the last thing I would consider.

Thanks, I did actually understand how it would be wired from posts #46 and 47. Maybe I could have phrased it better.
