It's you in you Sunday best isn't it?

And here was me thinking that the main thrust of the thread might be members presenting their own efforts and some have.

I've had an off and on interest in photography for about 40 years. For much of that I used a Minolta SLR film camera with a bunch of different lenses. I'm by no means an artist but, with a technical background, I can understand the notions of focal length, aperture, depth of field etc.

This from probably 30 years ago. The resolution doesn't flatter it - scanned and it wasn't even a flat bed at that time hence the lines.

In more recent years we got a fairly cheap digital Fuji - about a hundred squid.

Pics are quick, no additional cost, and can be downloaded at fairly good resolution. But the quick generally gives flat, no depth images.

But, maybe knowing how to drive it can get results.

There was a bit of wind moving it around and getting the focus right for the extreme close up was a wee bit of a challenge but I think it came out OK if not perfect.

One from a couple of years ago at the local lake.

I,ve got a Canon Eos 400D,been into photography for a few years now, just done my sisters wedding on Friday,it's quite nice to do them,I've done 4 weddings so far and several christenings, plus the good thing is that being behind the lens means you can stay off the photo's.

Brave man then Phil! did you shadow a wedding photographer or were you it, I would imagine it is a huge responsibility on the couples big day.
I am really impressed with the amount of interest for this and also by the amount of keen photographers that I never new were lurking amongst us.
This is what I was hoping for, the likes of yourself, Tony, Tel and others it could become a great section, you guys can bring an awful lot to the table in terms of experience and input.

Bump, not heard anything yet From Admin or Dan, pity really has it created a lot of interest on the Forum!!
