Correct.....

You have to be competent to carry out the inspection and testing.

2391-10 can assist in proving competency along with a good wealth of experience.

Well, if the 2330, NVQ level 3, AM2, 2391, 2377, and 17th edition... all of these does not make me competent together with many years of experience in the electrical industry... than nothing will.

No, not to do PIR's only to do installation work, you do have to either pay the LABC or be registered with any of the bodies that are making money from our hard work! Which ever way you look at it , in our trade these days you have to pay to be able to work,no matter how good you are!!!!
It's all gone to the wall.

RANT OVER

part P is the money making scheme of the century! We could do this for every trade... notify your councill if you had a tyre change.. or if the gardener comes by... and at the same time a handful of bankers gets an anual bonus which equals the anual pay of 350.000 nurses!!!!!!!

in a fair world we would charge the same hourly rate as sharks ( sorry, solicitors ) of £175/hour + VAT, then we would not mind buying all the books, paying the scam providers, keeping all records etc.etc.
