Problem with adding a spur to a socket

Are all the cables the same size (csa) and type?

Yes. All cables are t&e, 2.5mm2, and same brand.

Is this a Crabtree Socket? For some reason they love to make their terminals nice n snug. Never had a problem with fitting three cores into a MK.

It's a Tenby socket. They are no longer manufactured, although you can find them on eBay.

The terminal is too wide. All the conductors lie flat at the bottom, so the ones at the side are not clamped down tightly.

How close is the fused spur to the socket? What I would of done is put the fused spur into the ring. So put one leg of the ring into the fused spur then the other leg into the socket and then link from socket to fused spur that way only 2 cables in each lug of the socket and that way it's also done correctly

Thanks for all your help. I ended up doubling over the spur conductors, and that did the trick.
