I think that relying on your cps for your certificate software is a big risk too....

I thanked you for your ideas, however irrelevant to the thread, but if you are going to change tack to unhelpful insults then it's maybe best you don't comment further.
You could put the hard drive into your new laptop and operate as normal? Failing that there will be a file on your old hard drive that you can copy across to your new hard drive. Failing that get Acronis and clone your old hard drive to your new hard drive and you will be operating as normal in no time. You would need a hard drive enlosure to connect to your laptop most likely by USB. It is perfectly possible to solve this problem by the above and there are other approaches. Acronis is available as a free trial and you can clone one system.
I must say it is very disingenous of the tech support, for your system, to ask for more money in this situation and sounds very much like extortion as you must pay to get your information. It puts me off of the idea of that software.
I am surprised to hear that. What program did you use to clone if I may ask?Tried cloning it over and the programme would not launch.
No idea, a friend who works as IT support tried it. Stuff like that is beyond my capabilities. The clone worked but the programme would not launch for some reason.I am surprised to hear that. What program did you use to clone if I may ask?
