yes there it a point at which they become concerned, anything that shows a serious failing in understanding rather than just an oversight.
In a domestic property I was asked to measure the distance between the floor and the skirt of the battenholder to confirm it was in zone 2. i was also asked to take the cover off the fan to prove it had a suitable IP rating for zone 1. My assessor was concerned that i was adding R1+R2 to Ze to Get Zs, Where as my course tutor said this was ok. So alot of the depth of the assessment will depend upon the temperement of the guy who visits.
For a flat rewire I would likely guess that you would get asked what circuits you had used, what methods of basic, fault and additional protection you have used, extraction rates if there is a fan, have you made good any fire barriers with regards to downlights, cable routes etc, your main bonding, if you used 10mm on a TN-S system you might get asked why you chose 10mm when you might have been able to use 6mm.
You will be asked to do a sample test which could be anything from RCD to ring continuity and there will be a few test questions.

i am sure u can add ze+(r1+r2) for Zs. the system is tncs . as regards to down lights i have cutt holes in the insulation for fire purposes, no fan fitted all eathed water pipes using 10mm earthing cable. with clamps. fault protection is automatic dissconection of supply !!! hope that is ok also has 16mm tails to CU. y did u say thy would be concerned?

It doesn't sound as though you have anything to worry about. When is your assessment?

it is next week i payed to have it quicker. because i wanted to do it while flat was empty so i can go in take all bulbs out ect. i hop eit will be ok. the whole flat has a fire barrier cuz the fire ppl had to come and do it.

why were people qustioning the fuse rating? just wondering

cheers

Hi James, did you inquire as to tails csa with distributor? As I would of used 25mm csa. When you say fuse on tails, do you mean main switch or distribution co isolator? Just interested. I had this conversation on this site a few days ago about keeping the assessment simple, as I'm just going for a notifiable garden rcd protected socket and a non-notifiable new pir light and thats it. So I think your brave going for a full re-wire.

o really ummmm i was told i needed at least 2 new circuits from CU eg lighting and sockets. i have a garage re wire well about 3 of them for him to see. he said the flat is perfect he only wants one job and told me it will al take 2hours

as for the pir light- u have to show him certs u have tested, so u will need to test the full lighting circut on a minnor works cert i dont personaly think that is enuf for him to see but good luck any way.

no some one said is the fuse smaller than the main fuse i just wondered why he said that .
