Discuss Questions regarding testing for Main/Sub Distributor board. in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

I am a new member to the forum and a relatively new spark. When I went through my training I became very familiar with the layout of the rig in the training centre and felt very confident. But when I went out into the real world I quickly realised that every installation is different and it can be a little confusing. I take my time, refer to my notes and publications and occasionally check out the forums for advice. Today I was a little confused about Ze and sub boards and this thread has jogged my memory. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the advice.

Well you would take a reading at the sub board in a similar way to taking a Zs and people refer to it as Zdb. Ze is the external reading and should be taken with the Earth bond disconnected to ensure no parallel paths. At a sub board this is not the case.
