Yes but do you think the scheme assessor will tell you to cut the seal, pull the fuse and pretend the seal was already cut when you got there? Furthermore do you think he'll say that 'on the record?'

This isn't a choice between isolating the installation or working live, it's a choice between cutting a seal and pulling a fuse out or turning a switch off.

so questions i asked were

pulling DNO fuse

A, The DNO will have you if they can prove it, they dont want you messing with there equipment as you should call them and pay for an isolation switch to be fitted!
Part P, This was made up within the john prescott era and its the government who put it on the LABC to enforce but they dont know about electrics
as they were going to employ electrical engineers for it but ended up subbing it out so nobody inspects the works they just get an eicr for works carried out.
EXPORTING PME its advised too install an earth rod but not compulsary to any outbuilding!!!
