Are you talking about your "ship" the Irate Pirate ;o)))))Edit: DUCK with a hat on! Doh!!!
SWD, only a doss house if you doss in it...but yes, a "rural" shelter
Aye, a quiet day today...resting my bones and my eyes...but it's back to the blue room tomorrow, early doors...
The client returns from Rome tomorrow night, so I have to have that job finished, wires tidied away, TV fully working and all paintwork made good.
Now, the sheep story...well, that really arose from the thread about the shed, but this is probably a better home for it.
Once upon a time...
(Oi! Wake up at the back!)
...my uncle Bill used to have a holiday house near West Loch Tarbert, and there were many acres of hill land along with it, which were grazed by sheep...
Long story short, one day Bill got a bill (Mummy Mummy there's a man at the door with a bill! Don't be silly, it must be a man with a hat on!) and what a bill it was, emanating from the Electricity Board...(younger members, Google it! and in another story I will tell you all why we should have kept it...)
The house had it's own electricity supply and meter, but this bill was for the stone bothy up the hill, where the shepherds brewed their tea and heated their pie, on an old Baby Belling (younger members, Google it!)
Clearly, something was amiss, so uncle Bill set off up the hill, in rather cold weather, with about a foot of snow on the ground following a particularly nasty spell of wintry weather...
As he approached the bothy, he spied numerous sheep...indeed they were lying 6 deep against the stone walls of the bothy, and for a couple of yards all around the bothy the grass was bare of snow, and the sheep were loving the warmth from the Belling having been left on for a week or three...
History doesn't recall whether it was the oven, or the hob rings which had been left on, or indeed all of them, but clearly diversity wasn't an issue and the pole-mounted transformer feeding the bothy was clearly not overloaded, so I guess the wiring job was a good 'un.
Anyway, that's it...the sheep story. Apologies to those who thought it might be more...ermmm..interesting.
Good story and well told. Appreciated even though we had to wait a few days, it was worth it!They have to be vertical !! Attention to detail and some customers DO notice.
Keeps your eyes focused whilst have sex with your sheep. But what do my vertical socket/switch screws have to do with sheep keeping waaarm ?
