RCBO's & Plastic pipework within a bathroom

Could anyone tell me what the point is in installing an RCBO on a lighting circuit within a bathroom where there is no potential for anything to become live when all the metal work is installed using plastic pipe??

Cheers

Good god, this is painful!!

Ok, Ben, plastic pipework has no potential to earth, what anyone would be doing bonding plastic pipe is beyond me!

So, if there is a 30mA RCD then this has a maximum zs value of 1667 ohm (i think, only of top of me head!) to disconnect so no need to bond !!

I'm not bonding the plastic pipe, and never have! Jesus! All I'm am trying to work out is if there is no potential for an electric shock to come about, ever! That special location is pointless being a code 2 & would be better as a 4, which would save me the pointless hassle of installing an RCBO. On my PIR I would then just put, cables not not burried at a depth of more than 50mm code 4.

No need to, 7671 is NOT retrospective, on a pir it's simply a code 4, as it doesn't meet current requirements.

Here’s one for you all, defiantly not 7671 but it shows how a plastic break in a pipe isolates a system.
We had an electric furnace the flexible conductors and coil were water-cooled. 660V @3000A was isolated from the earthed water system by just 9” of rubber piping. Earth leakage was set at just 10mA. We eventually had to increase the length of the rubber pipe not because of earth leakage but I found electrolysis was causing the pipe connectors to fur up.
