been asked to check out a house before the electic board can reconnect.
no rcd protection old fuse board.
they don't want an eicr done as only been disconnected for a short time.
found a few issues which i have corrected the worste being an extention radial sockets run off lighting point

the whole house sockets are run off 3 radials going into 30 amp fuse i think 2.5 mm .my readings have checked out that all is fine apart from this, could this stop them from being connected this morning?
i also have to sort out extention and run a new ring in.

What have the board asked you to provide?

Last time I did one of these they wanted an EIC, which was mainly N/A as it consisted of dead tests only.

i take it were talking BS3036s right?...just give em 20A.....will be OK...

are we talking testing or visuals?

Any code 1 issues you find need to be rectified before reconnection (eg I would not consider the 'sockets off lighting circ' to be a reconnection issue).

murdoch as customer doesn't speak good english then it could need an eicr i wont provide an eic as i didn't do the work and it's about 20 years old.
glen spark thanks for good advice i was worying about segregation of circuits as there will be 3 circuits off 1 mcb?
as for existing extention run into lighting cirrcuit i have 1 spare way in board to put it as a ring so ok, but no rcd protection so If i connected new cable to existing sockets am i replacing like for like therefore not needed.
i know its dodgy but cust insists on no new board

Simple statement for EICR - customer declined advice to fit replacement fuseboard
